2013 Kangarilla Road The Devil's Whiskers Shiraz

Outstanding colour saturation displaying an inky black core with a very deep dark crimson red black hue. Intense aromas of liquorice allsorts, ripe blackberries and dark plums burst from the glass with undertones of subtle dark chocolate, vanillin oak and spice. Big and rich with a solid underlying structure the palate features mouthfilling liquorice, blackberry and dark plum flavours followed by some vanillin confectionary and spice. The succulent fruit held in check by a firm tannin structure that imparts some grip on the finish and gives the wine a chewy textural feel. Long aftertaste of liquorice, ripe blackberries, dark plum, subtle dark chocolate, vanillin cedar and spice.
