Matured for 18 months in a combination of American and French oak hogsheads. Superb totally opaque inky black purple colour with a deep dark purple black hue. Lifted aromas of ripe blackberries, liquorice, black cherries and dark chocolate arise from the glass followed by some subtle spicy vanillin oak. Rich concentrated flavours of ripe blackberries, dark plum and liquorice fill the mouth with some underlying dark chocolate, vanillin oak and spice. Fleshy opulent mouthfeel with velvety yet structured tannins that impart some chewiness towards the finish. Long blackberry, dark plum, liquorice, chocolaty oak and vanillin spice aftertaste. Certified Organic.
