2013 Izway Mates Grenache Mataro

Very deep almost opaque dark purple black colour with a dark purple red hue. Ripe black raspberry, dark plum and liquorice aromas ooze from the glass followed by some incense and spice. Medium to full bodied, rich succulent flavours of dark raspberries and liquorice overlaid by incense infusions swamp the palate followed by a faint hint of dried meats with a spicy finish. Round opulent mouthfeel with velvet smooth tannins make for a very sumptuous drink indeed. Excellent depth with a long dark raspberry, liquorice, incense and spicy dried meat aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
