2013 Highbank Coonawarra Cabernets

Produced from a blend of 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc with maturation taking place in French oak for 18 months. Excellent colour displaying a totally opaque inky black dark red core and a deep bright dark red black tinged hue. Fragrant ripe blackcurrant and liquorice aromas intermix with subtle black olive, vanillin cedar, earth and spice nuances. Medium to full bodied with rich ripe blackcurrant flavours dominate over liquorice, black olive, spicy vanillin cedar and earth. Sturdy yet fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of ripe blackcurrant, liquorice, earthy vanillin cedar and spice.
