Matured for 18 months in French oak. Opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Top notes of blackcurrant and mulberry are followed by cedary cigar box characters, tobacco and faint bay leaf. Medium weight with good richness and an elegant mouthfeel the palate features flavours of blackcurrant, mulberries, cedary tobacco characters, a touch of bay leaf and spice. Dryish finish with fine grained well integrated tannins. Long aftertaste of blackcurrant, mulberry, bay leaf infusions and spicy cedary tobacco characters.
