A blend of 70% Grenache, 22% Shiraz and 8% Mourvedre which was matured for 12 months in French oak. Very deep dark red black colour with a bright crimson red hue. Lifted aromas of dark raspberry, dark chocolate and liquorice are followed by some vanillin oak with subtle spice end notes. Medium weight the palate possesses generous dark raspberry and plum flavours intermixed with some chocolate bullets followed by vanillin spice. Soft rounded mouthfeel with very fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of dark raspberries, liquorice and vanillin confectionary.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
