Matured in French oak barriques for 18 months. Opaque dark red black colour with a dark brick red black tinged hue. Ripe blackcurrant and mulberry aromas intermingle with vanillin cedar, tobacco leaf and spicy dried herb notes. Initial blackcurrant and mulberry fruit fades leaving tobacco leaf, vanillin cedar, spicy black olive and dried herbs which dry out on a modest finish. Sternish tannins provide some grip.
