2013 Fire Block Old Vine Shiraz

Excellent colour saturation displaying an impenetrable inky black core with a deep dark red black hue. Lifted liquorice top notes merge into some black cherries, toasty oak, hints of earthy black olives and pepper. Bold and rich yet with good structure, flavours of liquorice and black cherries infused with pepper overlay toasty oak with a spicy peppered finish. A sturdy tannin structure holds everything in place and provides a chalky feel to the wine. Aftertaste of liquorice, spicy black cherries, pepper and toasty oak.
