2013 Elderton Ode to Lorraine Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz

A blend of 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Shiraz and 4% Merlot. Opaque black dark red colour with a dark red purple hue. A fragrant bouquet of ripe blackcurrants, dark plum and subtle liquorice greets the nostrils with ensuing vanillin cedar and spice notes. Medium to full bodied with a rich supple textural feel the palate boasts generous flavours of blackcurrant intertwined with dark plum and liquorice over a background of subtle dark chocolate and spicy vanillin oak. Silky smooth tannins perfectly integrated with the fruit. Long aftertaste of blackcurrant, dark plum, liquorice, a touch of dark chocolate, vanillin oak and spice.
