The flavour is obviously a very rich sherry note. However the cask influence is not overpowering the spirit. Yes the influence is heavy, but it's not musty or stale, it still has some fresh fruits in there from the spirit. The flavour of the sherry reminds me very much of the older bottlings of Glendronach 21y/o Parliament. This being at near on a third of the price makes that high praise. At 59% ABV this is a hefty one. Apart from a teaspoon to add water you might want to bring a knife and fork for this one. It's thick and oily and coats the mouth. The finish is very long and rich. This is a fantastic winters dram and will certainly accompany me during the holiday season's festivities". - whiskybase.com
