2013 Curly Flat Pinot Noir

Semi translucent dark red colour with a dark crimson hue. Perfumed aromas of violets intermixed with dark cherries and strawberries are followed by hints, meaty characters and spicy cedar. Light in body weight with excellent length the palate has a savoury flavour profile of ripe dark cherries and strawberries alongside a faint touch of anise with following meaty game like characters and spicy cedar. Bright fresh finish with very fine grained perfectly integrated tannins. Long aftertaste of dark cherries, dark strawberries, meaty cedar like characters and spice. With its elegance and freshness foremost in the mind this Pinot also possesses an excellent underlying power wave, however, its not quite in the same league as the super impressive 2012 vintage.
