2013 Chateau Pegau Maclura Cotes du Rhone

Deep dark red colour with a dark crimson red hue. The nose exhibits dark raspberry and dark cherry aromas which are overlaid by leathery characters followed by some dusty earth and spice. Light to medium weight the palate also has overtones of leather and earth to it with dark cherry and dark raspberry also present. Dry chewy finish with plenty of spice and firmish tannins. Aftertaste of spicy leather, earth and subtle dark fruits.
