2013 Castro's Ligador Shiraz Mataro

Totally opaque black dark red colour with a very dark red hue. Lifted ripe dark plum and liquorice scents dominate the nose over some subtle dark chocolate, smoky vanillin cedar and spice. Ripe and juicy the palate dishes up a rich flavour profile of black cherries, liquorice and dark plum over a back drop of smoky vanillin cedar and spicy earth characters. Dryish finish with firmish but relatively finely grained tannins. Aftertaste of black cherries, liquorice, smoky vanillin cedar and spicy earth.
