2013 Carn Mor Strictly Limited Ardmore 7 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Matured in an x-Islay whisky cask for added oomph. Languid on the nose while retaining the distillery’s typical smoke, though in a slightly earthier guise than is the norm, this shows more presence on the palate. In fact, as delicious an Ardmore as you’re likely to find for its age, being appealingly malty, salty, smokey and spicy all at the same time. Some frail pear and dried herb notes too, but the ashy finish quickly reigns in the sweetness. 47.5% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered. 1065 bottles.

Notes from the bottlers... Expect fresh bonfire smoke, smoked kippers and a finish that leaves the palate revived.
