2013 Brokenwood Cricket Pitch Sauvignon Blanc Semillon

A portion of this wine was fermented in French oak barrels. Brilliant pale straw colour with a faint greenish tinge around the edges and a watery hue. The nose is a touch muted with aromas of lime and green apple overlaid by some toast with spicy citrus end notes. Lightly flavoured with lime, green apple, subtle toast and grassy citrus characters the palate finishes dry with lively acidity. Aftertaste of limes, green apples, toasty citrus like characters and a subtle grassiness.
