2013 Bleasdale The Powder Monkey Shiraz

Bleasdale’s Powder Monkey Shiraz is sourced from their best Shiraz vineyard located behind the cellars and is matured in new (26%) and seasoned French oak hogsheads and puncheons for a period of 12 months.

Rich, supple and exceptionally long this is a magnificent Langhorne Creek Shiraz

Totally opaque midnight black dark red colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. The nose offers up aromas of blackberries, liquorice and dark plum which preside over a background of toasty cedar, earth and spice. Full bodied, rich and opulent the palate possesses a silky plush mouthfeel and is filled with liquorice, ripe dark plum and sweet black cherry flavours followed by toasty vanillin cedar, scorched earth and spice. Velvet smooth tannins. Outstanding depth finishing with a very long aftertaste of liquorice, ripe dark plums, smoky vanillin cedar, scorched earth and spice.
