Matured in French and American oak for 14 months. Totally opaque inky black dark red colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Lifted blackcurrant aromas merge with cedary tobacco characters, a hint of bay leaf and spice. Medium to full bodied with good upfront rich blackcurrant fruit flavours dominate over a background of spicy cedar, faint tobacco and a touch of choc mint. Slightly dryish but fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of blackcurrant, choc mint and spicy cedar.
