Opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Aromas of liquorice and blackberries are overlaid by some heavy handed toasty vanillin oak with spice end notes. Medium to full bodied with a supple round mouthfeel the rich fruit flavours are totally overwhelmed by a hefty dose of toasty vanillin oak with some spice also present. Velvet smooth tannins. Aftertaste of toasty oak and spice. The toasty oak is far too prominent and throws the wine out of balance.
