Matured for 15 months in French oak. Opaque black purple colour with a dark purple hue. The nose reveals aromas of blackberry alongside some dark plum with subtle liquorice, cedar and blackpepper ensuing. Medium to full bodied the palate possesses flavours of black cherries and blackberry over liquorice, vanillin cedar and blackpepper. Solidly built structure with a chewy finish. The tannins being relatively fine grained. Long aftertaste of blackberries, black cherries, liquorice, vanillin cedar and blackpepper.
