2012 Zonte's Footstep Avalon Tree Cabernet Sauvignon

Outstanding colour saturation pouring with an inky black core and deep dark red black hue. Lifted aromas of blackcurrant intermix with black olives followed by some cedary tobacco like qualities and spice. Rich and firmly structured the palate is filled with blackcurrant fruit overlaid by a touch of black olive, cedar, tobacco and spice. Dryish finish with sturdy, solidly built tannins providing an excellent framework. Long aftertaste of blackcurrant infused with black olive, tobacco and spicy cedar. A rich, chewy Cabernet that provides great value.

Totally opaque inky black colour with a deep dark red black hue. Inviting aromas of ripe blackcurrants, dark cherries and a hint of liquorice are followed by some spicy cedar. Rich and full the palate is brimming with ripe blackcurrant flavours followed by some liquorice, subtle bay leaf and spicy toasted cedar. Solid slightly chewy tannins impart a dryish finish. Medium to long ripe blackcurrant, liquorice and spicy cedar aftertaste.
