2012 Yalumba Patchwork Barossa Shiraz

Opaque black crimson colour with deep bright dark crimson red black tinged hue. The nose reveals inky liquorice scents alongside some ripe blackberries followed by some black cherries and vanillin spice. Medium to full bodied the palate possesses generous flavours of liquorice and ripe blackberries followed by some subtlety toasted vanillin oak with a spicy finish. Fleshy mouthfeel with velvet smooth tannins and aftertaste of ripe blackberries, liquorice, meaty vanillin oak and spice.
