Opaque black dark red colour with a bright deep dark red hue. Nosing reveals an amalgam of liquorice, dark plum and dark chocolate aromas over some subtle vanillin oak and spice. Medium to full bodied the palate shows good richness but lacks a little in the concentration department. Liquorice and ripe blackberry flavours combine over some very well integrated vanillin oak and spice. Solid fine grained tannins with an aftertaste of liquorice, blackberries and spicy vanillin oak.
