2012 Woodlands Chloe Chardonnay

Fermented and matured in French oak for 10 months. Brilliant pale straw colour with a bright greenish tinge around the outskirts and a very pale straw water like hue. The nose displays very good intensity with ripe peach top notes followed by some nougat, cashew and citrus finishing with light toasty oak end notes. Fresh white peach and citrus flavours are to the fore on the light to medium weighted palate followed by some cashew, nougat and spicy biscuity oak nuances. Clean dry finish with a moderately creamy texture that will become further enriched with bottle age. Excellent length with long refined aftertaste of white peach, cashew, light nougat and spicy subtlety toasted biscuity oak.
