2012 Wirra Wirra Catapult Shiraz

Totally opaque inky black purple colour with deep dark purple black tinged hue. The nose exhibits youthful freshly crushed berry aromas of inky blackberries, dark plums and a hint of liquorice overlaid by some toasty oak and spice. Joosy and rich but still quite youthful and unevolved the palate has inky blackberry and dark plum flavours followed by a lick of liquorice, toasty oak and spice. Dryish finish with ever so slightly chalky tannins that will fully integrate with further bottle age. Medium to long aftertaste of liquorice, inky blackberry, toasty oak and spice.
Cellar 5-6 years.
