These days, I’m quite taken with the natural wines of Wendouree. Surely this must be among the world’s finest Malbecs?
Dried rose perfume, blood plum, light mocha oak, dusty roads in summer. Medium bodied, so dense but not heavy, fat pillow of tannin, acidity bang on. Length so good. Great fruit, uncluttered by artifice. It’s 95 or 96 points. Never made up my mind, but should you be lucky enough to taste it, let me know.
