2012 Standish Andelmonde Shiraz

Voluminous and Decadently Rich this Barossa Shiraz is loaded with class.

Spectacular colour displaying an impenetrable midnight black core with the inky black hue just as deep and saturated. Intoxicating aromas of liquorice, dark ripe plums and blackberries interlaced with traces of dark chocolate soar from the glass followed by vanillin cedar and spice. Decadently rich and opulent flavours of dark plums, blackberries, liquorice and dark chocolate cascade across the expansive palate with underlying nuances of vanillin oak and spice also present. Velvety tannins with the wines superb richness perfectly foiled by the acid/tannin structural balance. Lavishly textured, plush mouthfeel, finishing with an exceptionally long aftertaste of ripe blackberries, liquorice, dark plums, subtle dark chocolate and vanillin spice.
