2012 Signatory Vintage Linkwood 12 Year Old 100 Proof Edition #68 Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Our first ever Linkwood from Signatory's 100 proof series looks right on target for a big, spicy, fruit-laden dram. If you're unfamiliar with the distillery, it's an important Diageo facility that provides essential fillings for a number of blended Scotch brands, including Johnnie Walker and White Horse. 
Signatory’s 100 Proof Edition is drawn from 1st and 2nd Fill Oloroso Sherry Butts. The higher bottling strength of 57.1% ABV aims to highlight Linkwood’s elegant orchard fruit character with extra drive coming from rich sherry notes. Flavour-wise, think stewed orchard fruits, soft toffee richness, and subtle nutty depth from the oloroso influence, finishing with baked apple, dried fruit and a lingering sherry glow. Alongside the modest price tag is the fact that Linkwood's market presence remains minimal, so this should incite a bit of interest. Non-chill filtered.
