2012 Shadowfax Shiraz

The fruit for this Shiraz was sourced from the Port Phillip and Heathcote districts with maturation taking place in new and used French barriques. Opaque dark red black colour with a dark red hue. The nose displays ripe dark plum and liquorice top notes over some toasty cedar with lightly peppered end notes. Medium weight the palate has an elegantly textured feel with flavours of plum, liquorice, toasty cedar and blackpepper. Soft fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of blackpepper, liquorice, dark plum and toasty oak. A soft savoury style of Shiraz.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
