2012 Schmitges Riesling Vom Berg

Brilliant pale straw colour with prominent greenish highlights around the outskirts and a watery hue. Zesty lime and citrus blossom notes merge into some mandarin with a faint hint of honeysuckle and some flinty mineral following on. The palate possesses a lovely richness of fruit that’s perfectly counterpointed by a line of lively acidity. Generous flavours of ripe lime, orange blossom infusions, fresh red apple and honeysuckle fills the mouth with a touch of mineral also present on the medium dry finish. Bright fresh acidity with a long aftertaste of ripe lime, orange blossom infusions, crunchy red apple, honeysuckle and subtle flinty mineral.
Drink now or cellar 5-6 years.
