2012 Schieferkopf Riesling Via Saint-Jacques

Bright straw colour with a watery hue. Aromas of ripe limes and red apples are overlaid by some honeyed toast like characters with a faint whiff of oily kerosene like notes and spice ensuing. Rich and oily in texture the palate has flavours of limes and ripe red apples married to dried honey and toasty characters with a dry spicy finish. Good underlying well balanced acidity with an aftertaste of red apples, dried honey, oily toast like characters and spicy kerosene.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
