2012 Saint Clair Pioneer Block 12 Lone Gum Pinot Noir

This Pinot shows excellent depth of colour displaying a dark purple black core with a purple red hue. Lifted ripe dark cherry and dark plum aromas are followed by some anise, toasty cedar and spice. Light to medium weight the palate is filled with rich dark cherry and dark plum flavours followed by subtle anise, toasty oak and spice nuances. Very fine grained tannins with a medium to long aftertaste of ripe dark cherries, dark plums, subtle anise and spicy toasted oak. A fuller bodied style of Pinot Noir.
