2012 S.C. Pannell The Vale Shiraz Grenache

Opaque inky black colour with a deep dark purple crimson red hue. Lifted liquorice and blackberry aromas are followed by a touch of black raspberry, some inky earth like characters and spice. Full bodied flavours of liquorice and inky blackberry fill the mouth with some earthiness and spice on the back palate. Supple yet at the same time quite robust with slightly dryish but fine grained tannins. Medium to long aftertaste of liquorice, inky blackberry, earth and spice.
