Matured for 18 months in a mixture of new and old predominately French oak with some American and Hungarian also included. Opaque black crimson colour with a dark crimson red hue. Aromas of dark ripe plum are intermixed with some dark chocolate and liquorice followed by vanillin oak. Big juicy dark plum and liquorice flavours combine with traces of dark chocolate and spicy vanillin oak also evident. Soft velvety tannins with a plush textural feel. Aftertaste of ripe dark plums, liquorice and spicy vanillin oak.
