2012 Reillys Dry Land Shiraz

Sourced from the 45 year old Home Block vineyard and the 100 year old Thomas Vineyard with maturation taking place in a combination of French and American oak for a period of 2 years. Totally opaque inky black colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Scented aromas of liquorice, dark plums and ripe blackberries overlay vanillin oak, confectionary and spice. Full and opulent the palate boasts rich mouthfilling flavours of liquorice, ripe dark plums and blackberries followed by spicy toasted vanillin oak and a touch of mocha. Velvet smooth tannins. Long persistent aftertaste of liquorice, ripe blackberries, dark plum, toasty vanillin oak and spicy pepper.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
