Matured for 2 years in French oak. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a very deep dark red black tinged hue. Pronounced aromas of ripe blackcurrant and liquorice merge with some mintiness followed by hints of black olive and spicy cedar. Medium to full bodied with good richness and a fine structured feel the palate features flavours of blackcurrant and mint with underlying cedar, a touch of earth and spice. Solidly built but fine grained tannins provide an excellent framework. Long aftertaste of blackcurrant, mint, earthy cedar and spice.
