2012 Principia Pinot Noir

Matured for 18 months in French oak. Semi translucent dark crimson red colour with crimson red hue. The nose shows plenty of lift with meaty dark cherry and strawberry aromas intermixed with a hint of anise followed by some cedar, light earth and spice. Light in body but not flavour the palate features a savoury profile of dark cherries and some anise overlaid by some meatiness finishing with some spicy cedar on the back palate. Very fine grained perfectly integrated tannins. Good power wave with long dark cherry, dried meats, cedar and spice aftertaste.
Cellar 5-6 years (2019-2020).
