Matured for 32 months in French hogsheads. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a deep very dark red hue. Aromas of ripe blackcurrant and liquorice are prevalent over some black olive and spicy toasted cedar. Full bodied and very rich the palate is packed with ripe blackcurrant, black cherry and liquorice flavours with a cedary overlay and some spice on the finish. Solidly built tannins provide some grip on the finish. Long luscious aftertaste of ripe blackcurrant, black cherry, liquorice and spicy cedar.
