2012 Penny's Hill Edwards Road Cabernet Sauvignon

Sourced from Penny’s Hill Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard planted in 1993 the wine was matured in a combination of French & American oak (30% new with the balance 3 year old) for a period of approximately 15 months.

Outstanding colour – totally opaque inky black dark purple core with a very deep dark purple black tinged hue. The nose displays pronounced aromas of perfectly ripened blackcurrant and dark mulberries as top notes followed by some cedar, subtle dark chocolate and spice. Full bodied the palate is decked out with rich sumptuous ripe blackcurrant flavours with some underlying liquorice, cedar and spice. Solid but fine grained tannins are partially concealed by the wealth of fruit. Long blackcurrant, subtle liquorice, cedar and spice aftertaste.
Cellar 5-6 years (2018-2019).
