2012 Moss Wood Pinot Noir

Semi translucent dark red colour with a dark crimson red hue. Pretty and perfumed the nose has aromas of ripe red cherries, raspberries and strawberries bounding from the glass with some violet overtones and a hint of anise and spicy cedar also present as end notes. Light to medium weight with ample richness and fruit the palate features flavours of ripe red and dark cherries, and strawberries with some underlying meatiness, subtle anise and spicy cedar. Excellent power wave with a supple texture and bright fresh acidity on the finish. Velvet smooth tannins. Long delicious aftertaste of ripe red and dark cherries, strawberries, subtle anise, meatiness and spicy cedar. Still very youthful at present the Pinot will evolve beautifully with time, softening further and building greater complexity.
