2012 Matakana Estate Pinot Noir

Semi translucent dark red colour with a tinge of black on the edges and a dark red to brick red hue. Aromas of ripe dark cherries and raspberries fill the nostrils followed by some light anise and spicy cedar. Light to medium weight with a round supple textural feel the palate has flavours of ripe dark cherries and strawberries followed by some spicy toasty oak finishing a little short. Velvet smooth tannins. Moderate aftertaste of ripe dark cherries and spicy toasted oak.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
