2012 Mandala Prophet Pinot Noir

The colour is looking quite advanced for a 2012 wine displaying a semi translucent dark red to brick red core with a brick red hue. Aromas of ripe dark cherries and strawberries are followed by some meaty characters, faint anise and spicy cedar. Light to medium weight with a supple textural feel the palate features a savoury flavour profile of ripe dark cherries and strawberries over some subtle smoky fennel like characters and spicy cedar. Velvet smooth tannins. Good power wave with a long aftertaste of ripe cherries, strawberries, subtlety smoked fennel and spicy cedar.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
