2012 Knight Granite Hills Shiraz

Produced from 40 year old vines and matured in French and American oak hogsheads. Totally opaque dark red black colour with a dark red hue. A pronounced nose of blackberry, dark plum liqueur and aniseed sit over vanillin oak, mocha and spice. Excellent concentration and power, however, the fruit has an almost liqueur like sweetness to it with ripe dark plums and blackberries to the fore followed by liquorice, vanillin oak and spicy pepper. Velvet smooth tannins with a long aftertaste of plummy blackberry liqueur, liquorice, vanillin oak and spice.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
