2012 Kilikanoon Killerman's Run Riesling

The 2012 vintage in the Clare Valley was a return to the classic growing seasons of old; cool conditions, slow ripening and no disease, perfectly designed to create fine, long ageing Rieslings, made for the cellar.

Brilliant water like colour with very faint greenish tinge around the edges and watery hue. On the nose lemon and lime top notes are followed by some orange rind and a touch of steely mineral. The palate delivers concentrated flavours of lemon and lime followed by some orange rind built around a core of steely mineral like acidity. Clean crisp finish. Long lemon, orange rind and steely mineral aftertaste.
Drink now or cellar 5-6 years (2018-2019).
