Maturation took place in small French and American oak casks. Totally opaque inky black colour with a very deep dark purple black hue. Lifted aromas of ripe blackberry, black cherry and liquorice are followed by some toasty vanillin cedar with light pepper end notes. Full bodied the palate is filled with lavish ripe blackberry, liquorice and black cherry flavours showing excellent richness with underlying vanillin cedar and some pepperiness on the finish. Solidly built but fine grained tannins. Excellent concentration with a long liquorice, black cherry, vanillin cedar and pepper aftertaste.
