2012 Highfield Pinot Noir

Semi translucent dark red to brick red colour with a brick red hue. Aromatics of sour cherry, strawberry and stalkiness emerge from the glass followed by a touch of meaty anise like characters and spicy cedar. Light weight and supple the palate has flavours of red cherries, some stalk, a touch of sour cherry, earth and spicy cedar. Slightly dryish finish with fine grained tannins. Lacks carry. Aftertaste of red cherries, stalk, earthy cedar and spice.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
