A blend of 35% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Franc and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon. Outstanding colour saturation displaying an inky black core and a deep dark purple black hue. Lifted aromas of cassis and plum are followed by some liquorice, vanillin cedar and spice notes. Full bodied with good richness and a firm structure the palate pits flavours of ripe blackcurrants and dark cherries against traces of liquorice, vanillin cedar, a touch of black olive and spice. Dry finish with firm assertive tannins compacting the finish. Chewy aftertaste of ripe blackcurrant, dark cherries, vanillin cedar and spice.
