2012 Golden Ball Merlot

Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. The nose offers up aromas of ripe mulberries and stewed plums which meld into earthy vanillin cedar and dried tobacco characters with spicy dried herb end notes. Medium to full bodied with plenty of richness and a soft rounded mouthfeel, flavours of ripe blackcurrants and dark cherries ride over a back drop of earthy vanillin cedar, subtle spicy tobacco and dried herb infusions. Slightly dryish finish with velvet smooth tannins and a medium to long spicy blackcurrant, earthy vanillin cedar, subtle tobacco and dried herb aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
