2012 Glen Eldon Wines Eight Barrels Shiraz

Totally opaque inky black colour with a very deep dark red black hue. Excellent aromatics with scents of liquorice, ripe blackberries, dark plum and dark chocolate wafting from the glass over a back drop of vanillin oak, mocha and spice. Rich ripe blackberry and dark chocolate flavours saturate the palate followed by some subtle liquorice, mocha, toasty vanillin oak and spice. Voluptuous round mouthfeel with velvet smooth tannins. Superb depth with a long dark chocolate, liquorice, toasty vanillin oak, mocha and spice aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
