2012 Giesen Small Batch Pinot Noir

Semi translucent dark red colour with a crimson red hue. Strongly scented aromas of ripe dark cherries, strawberries and subtle anise waft from the glass followed by some meaty characters with spicy end notes. Supplely textured with good power the palate features flavours of ripe dark cherries and strawberries over some meaty characters and spicy cedar within its light to medium weight frame. Velvet smooth tannins. Quite savoury with a medium to long aftertaste of ripe dark cherries, strawberries, subtle meatiness and spicy cedar.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
