2012 Garnier & Fils Les Clos Chablis Grand Cru

Brilliant pale straw colour with a watery hue. Nosing reveals an intense aromatic profile of ripe pears, peach and light honeycomb over a backdrop of almonds, a hint of nougat, subtle citrus and spice. Rich and creamy in texture the palate delivers mouthfilling flavours of ripe pears, cashew and honeycomb with the cashew component persisting right throughout the length of the palate to the finish. Underlying nuances of roasted almonds, subtle nougat and spice are also present. Round supplely textured mouthfeel. Excellent depth and concentration with a long persistent aftertaste of cashew, honeycomb, nougat, roasted almonds and spice.
